Bus station plans go on display

A public exhibition will be held this month (June) to show plans for the redevelopment of Gloucester’s bus station.

The three-day exhibition will be open to the public on Thursday 25th June from 2pm until 7pm,  Friday 26th 10am until 6pm and on Saturday 27th it will be open from 9am until 12.30pm, at a vacant shop at Grovesnor House on Market Parade adjacent to the bus station.

Visitors will be able to view how architects from Building Design Partnership are approaching the design of the bus station building as a new gateway into the city.

Cllr Paul James, Leader of Gloucester City Council, said, “We’ve selected this shop as the ideal location for the event because visitors can walk through the exhibition from the bus station concourse and out onto Market Parade.

“We want the people who use the bus station to have the opportunity to view the latest plans and influence the final design.

“We’ve waited a long time for a new bus station and we want to ensure that we deliver a scheme that meets the aspirations of people in Gloucester.”
