And the museum\u2019s website received a total of 17,000 \u2018hits\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\">\u201c It has been a massive success,\u201d said Council Leader, Paul James. \u201cIt shows not only that we can stage great exhibitions but how much interest there is in the City and its history. When exhibitions are relevant and staged well people will come and see them. Richard III had a profound influence on Gloucester and the interest in this exhibition has been immense.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Comments have included those from visitors who have also seen the exhibition when it was staged at York and the British Museum. They praised the presentation, the information on the interpretation boards and the use of the original \u2018charters.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Added Councillor James: \u201cOur staff worked extremely hard to put on this exhibition and to have it compared so favourably with York and the standards of the British Museum is a fantastic achievement for them.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The exhibition featuring the reconstructed head of Richard III in Gloucester has been hailed as a huge success.
