The bridges by the Abbeydale Sports and Community Centre are shortly going to be replaced .The new bridges will allow water to flow much more freely underneath them, thereby dramatically reducing the risk of flooding in that area.
The Centre itself has been badly hit by floods in the past,and these new bridges will help prevent that happening again.
