BUS SERVICES CHANGE ON APRIL 24TH 2005

On April 24th our area will have improved Bus Services.Our talks with the County Council and Stagecoach have led to the following improvements:

A New Sunday and Bank Holiday Service

For the first time ever  the 5 , which runs from St Oswalds Retail Park to Upton St Leonards , via Coney Hill, Abbeymead and Abbeydale will run on a Sunday.

It will also begin and end at St Oswalds Park -which is good news for people who want to visit the new Stores which are being built there.

The first of the stores likely to be completed is the B and Q Outlet- which is anticipated to be open by July this year.

More Evening Services

The 5 will now run up to 10pm at night-but only from the City Cente at night time.

Andrew Gravells, Abbey Ward County and City Councillor  said

"I am really pleased that my talks with Stagecoach and the County Council have led to these  improvements. They  will help a lot of people who are reliant on Public Transport in our area."
